What is IMD/IML plastic injection molding ?   

 IMD products are produced using In-Mould Labeling technology, which refers to the products that place the pre-printed plastic film label into the mold during the injection molding process, and integrate the label and the injection molding part completely through the injection molding process.

IMD plastic products have beautiful design, good integrity, flexible design, 3D molding, easy installation, scratch resistance, durable characteristics, is widely used in household appliances, mobile phones, computers, remote controls, toys and other shell, also used in car dashboard, center console, keys and other decorative parts.

Main Features of IML/IMD plastic injection mould:

i.)  It makes the product resistant to friction and prevents the surface from being scratched;
ii.) The colors of the products are far bright and no easy to fade for a long time;
iii.) Currently it is the most efficient method, it requires printing, high pressure forming, die cutting on the surface of the film,then finally combined with plastic for molding, this avoids the second processing procedure and the labor time;
iv.) Especially in the printing process required for backlight, multi-surface, imitation metal, hairline processing, logic light pattern, rib interference...which are unable to make, then that is the exact time to use IMD technology.
